Privacy policy

This policy applies to www.gordion.bio and to correspondence with Gordion Bioscience Inc., 245 Main St, Cambridge, MA 02142, United States ("Gordion", "we"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: contact@gordion.bio.

1. What personal data we collect

Contact form. When you send a request through the form on this website we collect the data you enter: name, company, work email address, the topic you select and the free-text description of your indication, target or asset. The form also records the time of submission. Please do not include confidential or proprietary scientific data in the form; we will agree a confidentiality agreement before exchanging such data.

Correspondence. When you email us, meet us or exchange documents with us, we collect your name, title, company, contact details and the content of the correspondence, including signature blocks.

Website use. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and capacity purposes. This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

2. Why we use it and on what legal basis

We use personal data to answer your request and discuss a possible engagement (performance of a contract or steps before entering one); to maintain our business relationship, including follow-up on earlier requests (our legitimate interest in developing our business, balanced against your interests); to send information or updates you have asked for (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time); to keep internal records and to protect our legal rights; and where the law requires it.

3. Who receives it

Personal data is seen by Gordion staff who handle business development. We use service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Netlify, Inc. (United States) hosts this website and stores contact-form submissions; Google LLC (Google Workspace, United States) provides our email and document storage. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. International transfers

Gordion is based in the United States and our providers store data there. Where data about people in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom is transferred to the United States, we rely on the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses or their certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable.

5. How long we keep it

Contact-form submissions and related correspondence are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law or by an ongoing contract. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short, fixed period.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom may also complain to their data protection authority; residents of California and other US states may have additional rights under state law. To exercise any right, write to contact@gordion.bio. We respond within one month.

7. Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted and stored by our hosting provider with access limited to authorized Gordion staff. We apply physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the personal data we hold.

8. Links to other websites

This website links to third-party sites (for example LinkedIn, BusinessWire and YouTube). Their privacy policies govern what happens once you leave our site.

9. Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page.
